LOVES CITIES WITH THREE RIVERS

Raised near Pittsburgh, another city with three rivers, Stephanie is a Hoosier by roots and by choice. She has lived in Indiana all of her adult life, except three years in Washington, D.C., where she advocated on behalf of local governments. Stephanie and her husband Joel moved to Fort Wayne to be near family and start raising their own, and now have 3 young sons. She explains, "For as long as I can remember, this area has meant family to me."

CALLED INTO PUBLIC SERVICE

Some people know when they felt called into a particular faith. Stephanie can pinpoint the moment she felt called into public service to the 1st day of 9th grade civics class when her teacher asked what historical event had just celebrated a milestone anniversary. When she correctly answered that it had been the 75th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote, a class discussion ensued about how few women there were in government. From that moment, Stephanie has had a spark burning inside her to serve her community as a public servant. She has done that in a number of ways--as a public finance attorney, a local government advocate, a director of intergovernmental affairs--and now is ready to continue her service leading Fort Wayne.

A VISION FOR FORT WAYNE'S FUTURE

A CITY FOR ALL

I've had the great honor of serving the citizens of Fort Wayne for nearly a decade.
Our City has come a long way and has received national recognition for our accomplishments.

I believe we can do more. Fort Wayne can reach its full potential when every person who calls this City home feels valued, loved, respected, and supported. This can happen when we increase

HOPE: Health, Opportunity, and Prosperity for Everyone.

I want to hear from you, my neighbors, about what makes you proud to live in Fort Wayne and what concerns you have for you and your family.

Fort Wayne thrives on partnerships and collaborations and we can only help Fort Wayne and its people realize how far we can go when we go there together.
